The Bead Room Totnes.

Glass Seed Beads from Japan (aka rocailles) are the best in the world and can be used for all kinds of beadwork. They come in the most amazing colours, in many different sizes and are fantastically uniform. Colour batches can vary slightly, so please ensure you have enough for each project before you start.

Our seed beads are exceptional value for money and come from the top manufacturing houses of Miyuki, Toho and Matsuno. These tiny, versatile beads remain our best seller and we are constantly adding to the collection. We have a stunning range of colours and finishes, including Baroque and Picasso, in sizes 15/0, 11/0, 8/0, 6/0 and 3/0, as well as Bugles, Drops, Squares, Peanuts, Hexes and Triangles. For your convenience, our seed beads are packaged in 5g, 15g, 30g, and 50g quantities. Please search by colour from the pictures above or have a look in the Online Shop to find your particular size from the drop down box.

Here is a handy list of the amounts contained in our 30g tubes, but please note that all sizes/numbers are approximate and are intended as a rough guide only. Size 15/0 (1.5mm) = 7500; Size 11/0 (2.2mm) = 3500; Size 8/0 (3mm) = 1200; Size 6/0 (4mm) = 450.

Also available from our online shop and hugely popular are Miyuki Delica and Miyuki Magatama beads, currently offered in 10g bags. The Delicas are perfect little cylinders and are used mainly for fine beadwork where a flat finish is required. The diagonally cut Magatamas have many uses but most of our customers love to incorporate them into their Kumihimo braiding for an attractive, sculptured look.

Traditional Czech bead giant Preciosa provides us with Pip and Fire Polished glass beads, along with an exquisite array of faceted crystal beads in Bicones, Rounds, Drops, Pears and Olives. The brilliance and sparkle of this high quality Czech Crystal is breathtaking and it is still a firm favourite for wedding accessories. An extensive colour range, with plain crystal and AB coatings available in many different sizes, at ridiculously affordable prices.

Also from the Czech Republic, our dazzling range of Matubo Superduo twin hole beads have become a 'must have' for beaders and crafters alike. The colour choices are wonderful and include matt, iris, lustre, opal and rainbow finishes.

The world famous Swarovski Elements make an appearance in the form of elegant crystal pearls. The quality of these beads is second to none and they are available in enticing subtle shades, adding a touch of sophistication to your work.

In addition to our fabulous branded beads, we also offer a great range of semi precious gemstones and fresh water pearls. These items change regularly and are offered as limited editions. Please ensure you have purchased sufficient to finish your project as these are rarely repeated in identical form. We believe this gives you a much wider choice of product and a chance to try many different materials at an excellent prices.
